Great location right on the beach , near to beachside restaurants 50 - 100 metres to the right and right in the small town centre for more restaurants, cafes and supermarket. Kalyves is a very relaxed place , retaining a traditional feeling not touristy in the slightest. Mixture of nationalities , French, German, Polish, British, Israelis and more. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Two nice swimming pools outdoor and one indoor pool in the spa. Water was a bit chilly but was mid may so not surprising.

The apartment was in a brilliant location and provided everything that we needed for our 3 night stay. Pantelis, the owner made us very welcome and was very friendly. He was brilliant in helping us with our onward travels, a very big thank you from us.

I was actually looking only for a small apartment to sleep 2 days next to chania, and when i came to the apartment i was surprised how big it was, its much bigger than it looks on the photos! also we had a balcony with a view over the whole ocean in front of us, so beautiful. good shower, comfortable beds, very clean. the man on the reception was also very friendly. all this for such a cheap price, wow!!

Great place to stay with family for your calm vacation. To mention the main benefits of the place: 1. Clean apartment stuffed with all things needed for your stay (everything available if you want to cook). You can feel yourself as at your own residence house not far from the sea :) 2. Very friendly and kind stuff. We were welcoming by amazing person Chrisa who shared with us lots of useful tips (where to eat/where better to go/where to shop etc) She was very responsive and helpful in case of questions from our side during the whole stay. 3. Great green territory with very clean swimming pool with lots of available places and nice view to the sea (acceded expectations) 4. Very good sand beach and not crowded at all (we were coming at 9am and almost all of sun beads were still available). You can take sun-beads with umbrella with deposit for 10 Euro for which you can order anything you want from the bar. 5. Not far from the beach. It was 5 minutes to get to the beach by foot, but to get back around 10min, because you have to go uphill (we took it as benefit to have exercise not to get fat after vacation :)) 6. The biggest supermarket of Kalyves on the way to the beach which is super convenient as you don’t have to go somewhere separately to find good products (btw avocado and peach was really delicious from there). Thank you very much for our amazing vacation! I would love to come back one more time!

Dimitras was a beautiful place to stay - clean and comfortable with lovely attentions to detail. The roof terrace was a highlight for us. Dimitra was so friendly and helpful too, a great place to stay.

Superb location - right on the beach! It is not the main beach, so it is not too busy, and you could find a free lounger most of the time. It is not a luxury hotel, but simple, clean and well equipped. We hardly cooked for ourselves though, because there are many cheap restaurants within walking distance, which offer good Greek cuisine. Kalyves is an authentic Greek village, within easy reach of Chania and Rethymno and a good starting point for many day trips in Western Crete. Totally recommend - but do get a sea view room!

Just 100 metres from Souda Port, the family-run Parthenon Hotel is 4.5 km from the centre of scenic Chania Town.

Great value for money (not a luxurious room but good for what we paid) and we had a nice view from the balcony. The staff were nice. The location is good with some restaurants and shops nearby (e.g., pharmacy, grocery store).

Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Nothing too much hassle for them. Really pleasant. It was my friends birthday one day during my stay and they helped with a bottle of Prosecco to make it special for her!
